Training course on modern geodetic equipment

 


This training course has been given in May 16-29, 2011, at Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm, Sweden.

12 staff members from 5 partner country universities have participated in the training course:

  • Volodymyr Tarnavskyi, LPNU, Ukraine


The training course focuses on new technologies and new geodetic equipment such as:

  • Tererstrial and airborne laser scanners

  • GNSS (Global Navigation Satellite Systems) receivers from Leica and Trimble

  • Modern electronic total stations including servo station with autolock

  • Inertial Navigation System (INS)


To complement lectures and practice at KTH, three study visits have been organizeded for course participants:

  • study visit to Vasa Museum on geodetic deformation measurements

  • study visit to Trimble factory in Stockholm, where Trimble's most advanced totalstations are manufactured

  • study visit to National Land Survey of Sweden on geodetic and GIS production and management
