This joint project is funded by the European Union's Tempus Programme. The objective of the project is to reform higher education in geodesy and geoinformatics in Ukraine, Armenia and Moldova in order to support sustainable development in these countries.
The project activities include modernization of existing geodesy curricula, development of new curricula and new teaching materials, establishment of 6 new GIS Laboratories in partner countries and re-training of partner country staff through intensive training courses.
The project will also implement new pedagogical methods and quality assurance mechanism in geodesy/GIS education. Finally, web-based e-learning platforms will be established in the three partner countries.

The project consortium consists of 10 universities and 1 government agency, with Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) as the coordinating institution (grant holder). The project will last for three years, from 15/10/2010 to 14/10/2013.
