Training course on digital mapping and advanced remote
sensing
This training course was organized by University of Leon in Ponferrada,
Spain, in the period of April 3-16, 2016. 14 participants from 7 Western
Balkan universities have attended the training course:

The training covered 4 main topics: digital
mapping using LiDAR data, digital
mapping using UAVs, hyperspectral
remote sensing (spectroscopy), Object
based image analysis (OBIA). During the training period, participants also
had study visits to University of Leon's Multimedia E-learning Centre and
Cartography Service in Leon. After completing the training, all
partiicpants received a training diploma.
Project
coordinator, Huaan Fan, visited the training in Ponferrada and convened a
project management meeting on April 7 with all partner university
representatives. On April 12, a press conference was held with the media
at University of Leon, where the GEOWEB project and the digital mapping
training course was presented.
